Explore the art and craft of Bangalow basketry. Students will explore the characteristics of this material for making fibre sculpture and experience a range of techniques for embellishment of the fibre, then utilise some of these processes to create a sculptural piece. Included in the workshop will be explanations about gathering, preparing and care of the plant material.
