Using the horse as a personal motif and metaphor for the sublime, Collins engages in various performance exercises with horses, inhabiting the precarious space between control and surrender. These collaborations are analogous to experiential extremes, psychological struggles and power relationships, through which Collins proposes catharsis as a beneficial human tendency.
