Occupying two Federation terraces on Chippendale’s newly refurbished Kensington Street, Kensington Contemporary is a collective space exhibiting local contemporary art under the curatorial guidance of the Chippendale Creative Precinct and President Nicky Ginsberg. With a repertoire of represented artists, the gallery continues to uphold the legacy of Ginsberg’s former NG Art Gallery, showcasing the full spectrum of emerging, mid-career and established artists.

As contemporary art continues to provoke discussion, Kensington Contemporary conducts an intimate tête-à-tête amongst its visitors as it fosters the future of Australian art within the architectural remnants of Sydney’s past.
