FOLONOMO

A building on the corner of Bourke and Albion Streets in Surry Hills houses a concept that allows patrons to give back. Gratia and Folonomo is a new social enterprise made up of a cafe (Gratia) and restaurant and gallery (Folonomo) that will give 100 per cent of its profits to not-for-profit organisations.

Folonomo is made up of the first two letters in each word of the expression “for love not money”. Coordinated by Jelle van den Berg with a committee of artists and patrons present mid-career artists and emerging artists combined to create a dynamic program by artists who's works show a high degree of social  engagement.
