Half day workshop with Melinda Young

Do you have a thing for string? Join someone who does, contemporary jeweller Melinda Young, for a day of wearable adventures using string and thread. This workshop invites participants to make a piece of jewellery using a range of common domestic materials. By engaging with simple craft techniques, handmade string becomes the vehicle for fantastic wearable creations. Participants are introduced to several low-tech string making techniques using a range of materials including sewing thread, natural fibres and plastic bags.

Materials Fee: $10 extra for basic materials to be paid to the tutor.
