La Musique, la Musica promises a smouldering night of French and Latin music and song with Toronto based cabaret singer Patricia O’Callaghan and French concert pianist Francois Gassion. O’Callaghan and Gassion join forces to bring you an eclectic repertoire from the tangos of Piazzolla to the parlour songs of Piaf ,with a dash of Leonard Cohen.Billboard Magazine have described O’Callaghan as ‘a truly exceptional blend of natural expressiveness and masterful coloration…. the most promising cabaret performer of her generation’. (Now Magazine). From his base in Paris, Gassion performs throughout Europe, Asia and South America and has become renowned for his interpretation of the work of Piazzolla, di Giusto and other Latin composers. This will be a night of exceptional piano and song for lovers of French and Latin culture.
This is a fundraiser for the Workshop Arts Centre, generously promoted by Alliance FranÇaise Sydney.
Please note this event will take place at The Zenith Theatre, McIntosh St & Railway Street, Chatswood.
