This Romance Will Be Different For Me
Robert Howe paints and draws seemingly innocuous subject matter; the view from the lounge room, the side of a house. Yet his work is not concerned with the everyday or the mundane. Howe's work is about the making of marks, colour relationships, and the horizon line. By painting the things that he sees around him, Howe's chief artistic preoccupation - the innocent joy in the act of making an object - slowly reveals itself.
