Punuku Tjukurpa | Opening

Punuku Tjukurpa is a touring exhibition from Artback NT, in association with Maruku Arts, from the Maruku Arts archive based at Mutitjulu, near Uluru in the Northern Territory. 

Punuku Tjukurpa includes 88 carved objects made of wood, known as punu, alongside sculptural works, 2D pieces and specially produced audio and video footage.

The opening runs between 4-6pm and includes a traditional Inma performed by artists from Maruku Arts, Central Australia.

These artists will be at Penrith Regional Gallery, the following day 13 March  between 11 – 3pm, demonstrating sand drawing and the carving of small wooden animals.
